Summer is approaching. This sounds slightly ridiculous, considering it was 24 degrees this morning where I am. Nonetheless, the school year is coming to a close and good books are calling. "Summer reading" may bring to mind a paperback at the beach, or your library's elementary program with a cheesy theme like superheroes or detectives. But really, it's not so cliché as it sounds. Summer reading goals are important and can be fun.
What are your summer reading goals? Mine are rather ambitious, compared to what they have been. Read Huckleberry Finn, read the complete works of Emily Dickinson, and finish reading the Bible all the way through. It's important to have reading goals as well as writing goals, because what we read determines to a large degree how we write.
What books are on your list for this summer? What new genres do you want to try? There are millions of books out there that neither of us has ever read. Let's see if we can make that number a little smaller.

Hello, fellow writers! I love it when we can inspire each other and help one another grow. With this in mind, keep it friendly and on-topic.
Have a great day! ;)
