Meadow on the Snake River
Gold in the Desert
Flowers on a hill
Wind on the highway
Nothing is still
Green fading quickly
Brown growing stronger
We'll be on this road
Still a while longer
Mountains in the distance
Black and blue and white
Cows grazing the sagebrush
In the diluted light
An Eastern Oregon highway
Panting dog in the back
Hundreds of miles more to go
On this lonely track.
