Want to be a Writer?

Here's what you'll need:

• A place to work (desk, bed, tree, cafe, etc.)
• Something to write with (notebook, pencil, pen, computer, phone, recording device)

Also handy:

• Dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, rhyming dictionary
• The Internet
• LOTS of books of the genre you're writing
• Books about writing, words, phrases, mnemonics, etc.
• Blank paper and coloring supplies
• A supportive writing community

That's all it takes to write anything, and really, you only need the first list. This is just a starter list, but other fun things include:

• Giant/colorful/shaped eraser
• T-shirts that say things like "Writing is my superpower" or "Writer's block: when your imaginary friend won't talk to you"
• A cat
