Brume

Brume
(BROOM)
Definition: Mist or fog.
Origins: Latin bruma, 'winter.' *Note: Reminds me of bromine, one of the only two elements that is liquid at room temperature. It quickly turns into a thick reddish fog if even very slightly heated. (The other liquid element is mercury.)
Sentence: "A wintry brume steeped the world in gray."
