Hey y'all!
If you've been a reader for a while, you probably know that every December, I post a writing prompt every day--an Advent calendar of sorts for writers, full of Christmassy prompts! Despite my sudden prolonged absence from this blog (see this post), there will still be Advent prompts this December. 🎄
In the past, the prompts have been a pretty random scattering of topics in a variety of formats--poem, illustration, and songwriting, to name a few. This year, however, I'm working off a theme.
*drumroll please*
The theme is called O Christmas Tree! Looking at my family's Christmas tree this year (yes, we've already set it up), I thought the abundance of ornaments collected over my parents' 20+ years of marriage would be a good source for prompts. Each day this December, I'll post a prompt featuring a Christmas ornament and maybe a Christmas song or a brief description of the importance of the ornament or what makes it unique, and perhaps a question to get you thinking.
The idea is similar to Inktober--using each day's unique prompts, craft a series of little stories that all fit together. Or, if that concept doesn't strike your fancy, use each prompt as you'd like for inspiration!
Merry Christmas, y'all, and happy writing!

Hello, fellow writers! I love it when we can inspire each other and help one another grow. With this in mind, keep it friendly and on-topic.
Have a great day! ;)
